Sinclair Brook has extended its operations to the tropical Fiji Islands, having been appointed to manage several developments for eminent Fiji company, Carpenters.

An existing Suva MHCC shopping centre and car park is to be topped by a new office tower comprising 13 levels. China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has been contracted to construct the Carpenters Tower structure, façade and roof. Demolition has already taken place, the crane has been erected, and the first slab is due to be poured in mid-February 2018. The project is expected to be completed in May 2019.

The Suva Foreshore project is a multi-staged development incorporating two budget hotels and a luxury hotel along with residential and retail.

Construction commenced in January 2018 of one 35-key budget hotel, with piling works currently underway. Pacific Building Solutions (PBS) has been contracted to undertake construction, which is due to reach completion in December 2018.

The second budget hotel is currently in the detailed design stage. Its construction is anticipated to commence around May 2018 and be completed in November 2019.

The luxury hotel, comprising two levels of hotel amenities, four levels of hotel rooms and topped by five levels of residential, will undergo detailed design over the coming months, with construction likely to commence by the end of 2018.
