After a mad dash to the finish line, on the afternoon of Sunday 10 September 2017 the St. Verena and St Bishoy's Coptic Orthodox Church within the Eporo Tower opened to a full house.
Several Sinclair Brook representatives were among the guests, honoured to bear witness to the auspicious event. Sinclair Brook has been involved in the project for seven years as Development Manager, and arranged $115 million in capital to fund the project.
Also in attendance was His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, who took part in the opening ceremony as part of his Australian pastoral tour, and His Grace Bishop Suriel.
Congratulations to all involved on the opening of one of Melbourne's newest amenities. Below are a few photos of the Pope during official proceedings, and of the almost-completed church just prior to opening.
