Key Considerations in High Rise & Mixed Use Developments
Sinclair Brook Executive Director, Matt Burns, recently spoke at the Mixed Use Development Conference in Melbourne. Attended by key people within the property development industry, the conference - which was held over three days - explored a range of topics including design considerations, construction delivery, creating a point of difference, site selection, opportunities and challenges.
Matt Burns delivered an engaging presentation on the key development considerations in high-rise residential and mixed-use developments. With over 7,300 apartments, 2,000 land lots/townhouses and a number of hotels either completed or underway, Matt was able to reflect on Sinclair Brook’s project experience to discuss how Melbourne development is evolving.
Matt touched on the 'wave' of development to hit Melbourne and talked through a number of case studies, including Eq. Tower, Australia 108, Sheraton Melbourne, Eporo Tower and Marina Tower Melbourne. The talk focused on key considerations including planning, design, procurement, sales and marketing, financing and construction.
